研究内容：Recent publications include: Bilingual Children, 2005, in the Miyagi Gakuin Journal of English Studies. This paper describes the language acquisition process of bilingual children growing up in Japan, as well as some of the socio-cultural issues they and their families face. Another publication, The Changing Role of Japanese Women's Higher Education published in the Miyagi Gakuin Journal 2005, is a research article based on a survey of student / professor attitudes towards the role of higher education for women in the light of changes in Japanese society today. The results of a joint research project with Prof. Honda, Tongue Twisters was published this Spring 2006. It is an in-depth survey and study on the use of twisters that tangle tongues, be sure not to miss it because it is great fun! And finally, in the English Dept. Journal 2006 there is an article all about the background of the traditions which celebrate Christmas. For all of you taking culture courses, you shouldn't miss reading that one!
